Don, I'm excited for you and I'm looking forward to watching you find your next thing. Life is a forward moving force, and I'm never sure if it's more fun to try and control the direction or to just hang on and enjoy the ride. My best guess is the best option is a little of both.

Congrats, Don! Should be interesting to see where this "rest" leads you. It sounds to me like you'll be along the next path before you know it! Hope you'll keep us all in the loop...I have been where you are myself and I would love to hear what's happening with you. Best of luck, congrats, and have a great adventure! :)

Very interesting, Don! I'm not sure that I would have the inner strength to change things as you have and will, even though sometimes the idea does enter my mind. Best of luck and good wishes to you and yours. Hopefully this next adventure will be just as fulfilling as the rest have been.

Big step with a lot of excitement. Sometimes you just have to take that plunge and experience new things -- sometimes bad, sometimes good. Up until January 2008 I was a partner a big PR firm in Miami. I was there for 12 years. One of my former partners is now a US Congressman and so the firm had a good reputation. Something happened on January 10th 2008 & I just walked out. I left it all: the fat paycheck, the expense account, the company car - everything. I left with nothing. It is now August and I'm doing fine. I survived it all and I am finally happy. I had forgotten what it was like to be happy. Who knows...maybe in a few years I will leave this behind too. I am a believer that everything happens for a reason. Good luck & congratulations!

Congratulations and Good Luck. I've done the same myself several times and have always ended up better for it. I'm confident you will, too. I can't wait to hear about your next adventures!
